I was one of those that attended those PK sessions from 'Turbo' at Collegiate sports at Ellesmere and Warden in the early 1980's and never forget them (he was a rep for Norvinca) and from that day forward he did change my sock wearing choices and selling them to customers. I sold a ton of those grey and blue Nordica light wool socks. I saw the light and I preached the gospel from that day onward, he made me a believer.

I think that he adopted his name from one of the Nordica boots that was called Turbo at the time as it had a huge adjustment knob on the back. I will not forgive him however for pitching their rear entry boots – a dark day in ski equipment…ahh the Trident or the problems we had with the Look bindings with the brakes integrated near the toe which we could never get to function test well.
